The Nike LeBron 12 EXT ‘Rubber City’ might go down as the most innovative use of materials outside of the ‘What The’ series. The pair pays homage to Norbel’s hometown of Akron, Ohio and its dubious distinction of being the rubber capital of the world for almost a century. Boring ass designation, but it created some unique shoes so I’ll ride with it.
Fans of the Hellraiser movies should dig these. And those who appreciate durability in a hoops shoe since those spikes resembling tire nubs are made of rubber and the upper is covered with them. The Rubber Citys are making a strong case to be the designated blacktop basketball shoe nationwide with those features made to withstand punishment.
