The Moon Poon-powered Kobe was a relatively easy cop for me this weekend. I was able to try on the Hyper Grapes, KD 7s, and the Lebron 11 ‘Sprites.’ All three are super comfortable, but the toebox on the Lebrons felt a little too thin for my liking and the KDs looked too stubby on my Asian feet. So the Kobes won out by default but they’re not some hard luck choice.
The color purple really stands out even in the evening when I snapped the pics, and for a Flyknit shoe the toe is sturdy. No odd bulges from your feet in these kicks like the case with Flyknit Chukkas. Breathability is unknown since I haven’t had a full day in them quite yet. Cushioning as per usual with the Kobe line is on point but the Lunarlon feels a bit stiffer than that of the 8s. Dumb amounts of comfort in these regardless, and I’m assuming the cushioning will break in fairly quickly.
One last note: anyone with slightly wide feet and stubby toes like myself will want to go up half a size. Perfect fit.
