Gaze upon these, fellow Bulls fans, and ponder what an entire line of Chicago Kobes could have looked like were the Black Mamba actually to jump ship in 2007. The greatest Flyknit shoe to date – that’s right I said it – gets the red treatment a ton of fans were waiting for, and adds a pop of glow in the dark material for stunting in the dark. Quite frankly I’m surprised The Game hasn’t already posted a stolen pic these on his IG and said Kobe hand delivered some one-of-one Black Mambas to his door.
And as for Nike saying that these Bulls-inspired Kobes are a tribute to music and dance? Nah. They’re red kicks for people who really like bright red. I’m not even sure where the theme ties in on the shoe. There’s not so much as one instrument or music note anywhere on them. No need to embellish or always depending on gimmicky stories, Nike. Let the product speak for itself. Because this release speaks volumes.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low releases September 12th. Retail is $200.
