A while back, Brett Golliff had a really wonderful piece discussing color forecasting where he essentially said the reason why select colors are seen everywhere is because they’re what consumers want. What the ‘Toro Bravo’ Jordan IVs started, let no man tear asunder as buyers want more red, apparently.
As with every thing KD and Leo Chang have done, there’s significance behind the color. The player and the designer worked around the idea that the game gave a kid from Seat Pleasant a chance to travel the world and, ultimately, opened the door that led him to being a member of Team USA Basketball. With the squad headed into a busy summer basketball season, we’re likely to see these on the court very soon as well as in stores come Saturday, August 2 for $150.
